Meet Dedra

My Background…

I was very blessed to have a mother that gave me such grand inspiration for life. She began her own business in the 70’s. At this moment in time it was not easy but she did it!!! An interior design company specializing with Yacht Interiors which would lead into Residential Interiors.

At 13 years old, I went to work with her on days off from school, Summer time, and I would organize ALL of her fabric, wallpaper, and carpet samples. It was like putting a puzzle together which I was totally in my Zone!  Then…at 17 years old I went to work for her…as an employee and organized all of her files….accounts, finances and so much more. Then she pushed me to deal with Captains, vendors, etc.in the actual Design process.  The stories I could tell….(to talk about another day) but my growth in life was incredible in so many ways…because of my Mom.

 

This would lead me to schooling at the Fort Lauderdale Art Institute for Interior Design. I used this education on various projects and LOVED ALL of it! Very PROUD to say the least of my accomplishments.

Fast forward a bit to my Real Estate career….20+ years. My having the opportunity to meet so many people and being able to be a part of their personal lives is just unimaginable.  Invited into their home and full disclosure from the homeowner of so many aspects of their lives….extremely personal.  I met with clients going through foreclosures….hoarders…divorce…seniors…etc.

THIS IS MY HEART…

There is nothing I love more than to help others, regardless of the task at hand.  I am naturally a caring person. To be that person who helps turn the homes of people back into a place where they can relax or work more efficiently, or to move on to another home is very rewarding to me.

I am also very understanding and do not pass any judgment based on the condition of your unorganized/messy areas. I will never make you feel worse than you currently do because I understand where you are coming from.

Our Philosophy

Clutter is anything that you don’t use, need, or love. These things have no specific home and, overtime, tend to fade into the background of other clutter. Clutter costs you time (wasted searching for the things you need and love), emotion (holding onto things that you feel you can’t live without despite not touching them in the last five years), and money (paying for an entire room in your home that isn’t serving its intended purpose every month when your mortgage statement arrives). Ultimately, clutter prevents you from achieving your goals no matter how great or small. It interrupts meaningful, positive relationships. It traps you in its dusty grip.

Your previous experiences and current season of life affect your time and ability to get (and stay) organized.  Our approach to quelling the clutter and getting you back to the life you want to live is simple: recall the vision for your life and determine if your possessions are helping or hurting your pursuit of life to the fullest. You might only need a fresh perspective on the things crowding out your space and your life. Or you might need someone to come alongside to encourage you during this transition and teach you organizing strategies that you can apply to other spaces in your home and professional life.
